Strong Third Leads Flyers To Victory

Make it back-to-back wins for the Fort St. John Senior Men’s Flyers. On Friday, Jan. 27, the Flyers played host to the Hythe Mustangs, beating Hythe by a score of 7-5, while out shooting the Mustangs 42-30.
It was an offensive first period for both clubs, as the opening frame concluded with Hythe leading 4-3 on the scoreboard. Flyers rookie Cody Kalb had a goal and an assist for the Flyers in the first, while Jeff Fast and Todd Alexander also scored for Fort St. John.

The Fort St. John Senior Men’s Flyers can add another win to their record. On a rare Thursday night game, Fort St. John visited their neighbouring rivals, the Dawson Creek Canucks, handing the Canucks a 5-3 loss in their own arena.
Flyers Lose Second In As Many Nights

After a Friday night home loss, the Fort St. John Senior Men’s Flyers were unable to even up a home-and-home series on the road. Saturday, the Flyers wrapped up their second home-and-home series with the Horse Lake Chiefs, with the final game of the series played on the road in Horse Lake. The results were less-than-ideal for the Flyers, who lost 4-3, while being out shot 44-30.

This weekend the Fort St. John Flyers will face off against a familiar foe. It may seem like déjà vu for the senior men’s hockey team, as for the second weekend in a row, the Flyers will take part in a home-and-home series with the Horse Lake Chiefs.
Friday, Jan.21, the Flyers will kick off their second series with the Chiefs in as many weeks by hosting Horse Lake at the North Peace Arena. The game is scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m.
Senior Flyers Return With Big Home Win

Judging by the scoreboard, one would never assume the Fort St. John Flyers hadn’t played a game in over a month. Friday evening, Fort St. John returned from a month long break from NPHL hockey, beginning a home-and-home series with the Horse Lake Chiefs. Friday, the Flyers started off that series with an 8-2 home win, out-shooting Horse Lake 36-30.

Teddy Bear Toss a Big Success

The Fort St. John Flyers would like to thank everyone who made Saturday's Teddy Bear Toss a Big Success. The ice was littered with bears after Matt Shuya's game opening goal early in the first period. Salvation Army Captain Ben Lippers was on hand to accept the bears on the Salvation Army's behalf and thanked everyone for their support. The bears were certainly a good omen as the Flyers went on to record their first win of the season.

The Fort St. John senior men’s Flyers have erased the zero from their win column. On Saturday, Dec.10, the Fort St. John Flyers welcomed long -time rivals, the Dawson Creek Junior Canucks, to the North Peace Arena, earning their first victory of their season by a score of 5-3.
Flyers First Win Could Come at Teddy Bear Toss

After four games, the Fort St. John Flyers still haven’t tracked down that elusive first win. On Thursday, Dec.8, the Flyers were in Spirit River, hoping a bout with the Rangers would provide them with their first win of the 2011-2012 season. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case, as the Flyers suffered a 7-4 loss.
